In the summer of 2023, Ayishat attends the NIH Fair with hopes of medical school, but discovers a new passion. Intrigued by a booth at the fair, she attends a panel on the subject, sparking her interest further. This leads Ayishat to no longer being a biology pre-med student. Her journey highlights the importance of following one's passion, even if it means deviating from the expected path.

M.e.l.a.n.i.n by Ayishat. Y now has a scholarship program for high school seniors. This $500 micro-scholarship will aid to a student who is passionate in making a positive impact(s) in their community, understands the mission of our inspirational platform, & demonstrates leadership!

After evaluating my true passion in the world of STEM, Am I really satisfied about being a biology major on the pre-med track? Here's my advice on being a STEM (specifically biology major) major and pursuing med-school and other professional schools.
